Lego Castle
Classic castle toys are comprised of different castle models, catapults, knights, villains, princess, chariot and even flying dragons etc. Each tower or castle has movable door, bridge, shooting canons or arrows. Two little boys can really play them together for hours and hours. They are labeled for 7-14 years old; however, as long as the kids do not swallow the small parts, they are perfect for youngsters. Dads can have fun to build them and play them with their little boys. My kids adore their father a lot because Daddy is the only one who can build the castles.
Electronic Bugs:
I have never seen anything like these until we walked into a RadioShack to get batteries for our cell phones. They are small robotic insets including Hexbug Micro Robotic Ant, RadioShack MagBug, Hexburg Micro Robotic Inchworm. The designs of these little electronic bugs are cool and attractive. These little bugs have very bright color. They are mobile with a small engine and they are easy to use, the only control is the power switch. My children just need to turn them on or off. The little bug run into different directions if there is an objective in front of them, there is no special skill require for playing them.
My children always want more toys, especially moving (electronic) toys. Their Daddy love to go the electronic stores, and so do they. The appetizer for electronics is encoded in their genes, located in Y-chromosome. To satisfy their urgent craving for electronics, small portable toys are better choice than the gigantic remote-control cars or airplanes; the little ones do not know how to use the remote-controls yet. The electronic bugs are little fun toys for little kids or pets, and most importantly, the prices are reasonable for electronic toys. They run about 9-20 dollars dependent on the size of bugs.
Ben 10 Alien Force Alien Creation Transporter:
David spotted the Ben 10 allien force creation transporter in the TJ Max, I was reluctant to buy it because I thought it is a omnitrix watch. He has been asked me many times for a Ben 10 omnitrix watch when he saw them in Target. He also asked for the Star War Masks (stormtroopers and Darth Vader), and the Transformers’ Mask (Bamboo bee). The thing is that he does not even watch Star War. Those plastic masks or watches do not have any education value and neither they are playful, so I always say “No” to him. He was not too happy but he did not insist having one before except the day in the TJ Max. Because he almost had a meltdown in the store, so I caved in. It turns out the egg shape transporter is not a watch but a station to assemble alien figures of Ben 10. It is easy to use, both David and his brother are actually playing and having fun with it. Although my children have not developed good judgments for buying toys, the usual finding of Alien creation transporter appeared to be fun. Now I will need to find more alien figures for him to assemble.
Magna-Titles: (again)
I mentioned Magna-titles before, but because my kids love them so much, I want to emphasize them again. It is one of the best educational toys I have ever seen, and my children do love them a lot and continue playing them over and over again. Magna-titles are made by Valtech! Co. and they aim to promote imaginative play and creativity. The magnetic titles allow kids to build 3-D objects in various geometric shapes. Because they are connected by Magnetic power, so they are easily be constructed for young children. They help children to develop patterning, shape recognition, building skills and improve their fine motor skills. They can build endless creations; my kids really enjoy playing them. We are getting more for them this Christmas and I strongly recommend this wonderful building toy to my friends and family.
Foam Jet Plane, or Missile and Launcher
The foam jets are inexpensive and fun. Boys and girls can run around outside, shoot the airplane in the yard. The adults will need to put the Launcher on for young children and children can just click and shoot the plane. We saw these plane launcher in one of my children’s play dates. Everyone has a lot of fun playing with them.
Punch balloons and Rocket Balloons
They cost only a couple of dollars, but they are fun for the whole family. Kids punch and chase the balloons for a half hour and consume some of their energy.
They are also idea for birthday parties which keep all the children occupied and focused. Please be aware not to pump too much air to the balloons or they pop easily.
Lego Power Miner
This Lego set has many interesting characters including: little cute rock monsters with different colors, rock wrecker, thunder driller, the power crystal king, cave crusher, the miners, Fire blaster and stone chopper etc. Although it is labeled for kids aged from 7 to 12, little boys are attracted to the characters. For example rock monsters can eat and store crystals in their hollow body cavity. The power miners have all the cool vehicles and tools to drill the rock and collect the crystals. Little wonders are imaging all the mining actions with their favor characters.
Zingo
Zingo is a children’s game similar to adults’ Bingo. Kids need to match the animals or objects in their cards. It gives everyone in the family to sit down together and play. It stimulates recognition of patterns and memory of objects. A great game for the whole family.
Radio Flyer Twist Trike
It is a stable tricycle. It is dependent on the kids, some 3 years old may find that it is too big but some of them may think that it is pretty cool. I have two children and each of them holds different opinions on the twist trike. One must have, one shows limited interest. It runs well and relatively stable and safe, and it provides extra adventures with the twist action if your little one is up to it.
Moon Sand or Play Dough
Kids can use these to mold and sculpture their imaginations. They are classical but timeless toys for all ages. Play dough has one of the most popular birthday party gears. Kids can make everything out of the color dough. The only thing is that if it is dry, it is hard to sculpture it. With the improvement of materials, Moon sand features never-dry-out materials and different molders to build sand castles and others. One can stay indoors in the winter time to build a sand castle.
Imginext
Prehistoric beasts come back to live and roam around. For who has fascination with dinosaurs, these slightly “moving” toy dinos can give a lot of imaginations.
