More Cleaning to do

More tips I learnt from my friends which are useful to clean after my children.

Remove Blood Stain

Use hydrogen peroxide (from pharmacy, 3%) and gently rub the clothing or furniture to remove the blood. To remove blood stains, rinse the stain in cold water, and then rub them in wet corn starch.

Remove Magic Mark Ink

Organic solvents (petroleum-based paint remover) or hair spray can remove magic-marker ink from surfaces. Hair spray can also kill intruded insects. I stopped using hair spray after I learnt the power of hair spray in cleaning magic ink and elimination of bugs. The chemicals-propellants in the hair dryer can be bad for your health.

Remove Gum

Use ice to harden the gum first, and then use a dull knife to remove it.

Magic of baking soda and Coke-Cola

Baking soda is a great deodorizer. We place boxes of baking soda in the refrigerator and freezer to absorb orders. We also use baking soda in the humidifier and to clean the toilet. The other good toilet cleaner, as one of my friends told me is a can of Coke-Cola. I was surprised to hear that at the beginning, but it has been proven to be useful. You put one can of Coke and let them sit for 1 hour, and then just simply flesh and clean. Coke, baking soda can also clean the corrosion of the car battery. I am thinking twice now when I crave for a coke. For my children, the new rule has been implemented, no coke at all.

Clean cutting boards

Use fresh lemon or lemon juice (50% juice, 50% water), rub them onto the stain and let them sit for 30 minutes. It will bleach the cutting board and it also disinfects the board. Vinegar can also used to clean and sanitize the cutting boards. I use bleach sometime, but it needs to be completely rinsed off before I can reuse the cutting board. Lemon and vinegar are better choice, because both are edible. I used to soak the cutting board in the soaping water that made the wood board crack, so I have stopped doing that.

All the baking soda, lemon juice, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean kitchen counters and in various applications. I hyperlinked the websites that describe the use of these natural components with themselves, you could click and check them out.
